The Houston District Parking Terms of Use
Effective: 21 October 2026
These terms govern The Houston District parking offered by Urban Properties Houston LLC, Houston, Texas, through the /park/... pages on thehoustondistrict.com and The Houston District's iOS and Android app. A lot can show an offer while payment remains closed. No parking purchase exists until the service verifies payment and issues a confirmed parking record.
Your parking purchase
Check the lot, the plate's issuing state, the plate, the offer, and the start and end times shown before paying. You are responsible for entering the state and plate that identify the vehicle you park. For a lot-level offer, coverage belongs to that plate and state in that lot for the shown window; it is not a reservation of a numbered space. On a declared-spot lot, enter the number painted on your spot. The number helps enforcement find your car; it does not reserve the spot or give you exclusive use of it. Another car declaring the same spot never blocks your purchase or changes your plate-and-lot coverage. Some other lots require a specific numbered space, which must also match the purchase. A quote, payment attempt or unconfirmed payment status is not proof of coverage. Keep the verified receipt link or app record available.
Per-entry offers are not offered online at this time. Follow the offer you buy and the posted lot signs.
Price and payment
Before payment, the service shows Parking · Management fee · Service fee · Sales tax (8.25%) · Total. The total is in U.S. dollars. The service fee is calculated the same way for every payment method; it is not a card-specific charge. The displayed price may change before you accept a new quote. Card details are entered in The Houston District's own fields and sent directly to Authorize.net through Accept.js; The Houston District never stores a card number. Authorize.net is the gateway and Chase Merchant Services is the merchant acquirer. To buy, you must accept these Terms, including the no-refund rule except for a charge error, duplicate or The Houston District's fault; a full lot is not a refund reason. A payment token or wallet approval alone does not activate parking: The Houston District must verify the payment and create the paid record. If that payment is still being checked, do not rely on it as confirmed paid parking; another valid permit or paid term may apply independently.
Lot rules, availability and enforcement
Park only in areas allowed by the posted signs and follow the lot's posted hours, restrictions and instructions. The online lot-level sale does not count open spaces and has no capacity cap. A purchase does not reserve a space or guarantee that one will be available when you arrive. Payment covers parking only if a space is open. If the lot is full, do not park in an unauthorized area. There is no refund because a lot is full. These availability and no-refund rules are posted on the lot signs.
A vehicle without valid coverage for its lot, state, plate and time may be subject to enforcement by the parking enforcement company named on the signs posted at the lot, under those signs and applicable law, including booting or towing where authorized. A status check alone is not a boot or tow authorization.
Cancellations, refunds and extensions
Closing or canceling a payment form before a verified purchase does not create coverage. After a purchase is confirmed, there are no refunds except for a charge error, a duplicate charge, or when The Houston District is at fault, for example if the lot is closed or unusable. A full lot alone is not grounds for a refund. Email park@thehoustondistrict.com with the receipt code to request a refund. An approved refund goes to the original payment method and includes the parking charge, management fee, service fee and tax. The app does not currently offer self-service refunds; staff handle approved requests. Nothing in these terms limits a refund required by applicable law.
Extensions are not available for lot-level parking at this time. Buy a new parking window instead; that is a separate purchase and does not automatically extend the earlier one. For a numbered-space offer, an extension applies only if the service offers a new quote for the existing session and verifies a separate payment. The original end time still controls until that extension is confirmed.
Accounts and guest checkout
You must be 18 or older to buy parking. Where offered, you may buy as a guest; the website and app require a valid email address and E.164 mobile number for receipt contact. You may also sign in with a verified email code, Apple or Google when available to manage vehicles, notification choices, receipts and saved payment method aliases. The website and The Houston District app use the same account. A web session can stay active for 90 days with activity and can be ended by signing out. Keep sign-in codes and receipt links private. Email recovery currently works only for an eligible account with a verified email and exactly one verified sale on that account; giving an email during guest checkout alone does not guarantee recovery. Save or share your receipt while you can access it. For a lost receipt, staff may need to match your receipt code to a verified sale and record a case before giving a short-lived recovery code. You can delete your account at /park/account after a fresh identity check; /customer/delete explains which completed transaction records remain.
Text messages
When the messaging choice is on, The Houston District Parking sends your receipt and parking reminders by text to a U.S. or Canadian mobile number and by email. This includes a reminder before parking ends and may include a reminder to pay when a car is at The Houston District without a paid session. Message frequency varies. If the choice is off, no texts or reminders are sent; your purchase receipt is still emailed. Message and data rates may apply. Every reminder email includes a stop link. Reply STOP to stop, START to resume, HELP for help, or email park@thehoustondistrict.com. Texts go to U.S. and Canadian mobile numbers only. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. A text or email is a convenience, not proof of coverage; the verified paid record controls. We do not send marketing texts.
Fair use and service limits
Provide accurate vehicle and contact information. Do not use another person's account or receipt without permission, submit false parking information, interfere with checkout or coverage checks, or use the service in a way that prevents others from using it. We may refuse an invalid or unverified transaction and correct a mistaken status or price before a new purchase is confirmed.
The website, app and payment systems may sometimes be unavailable. We do not insure vehicles or belongings and do not promise an uninterrupted digital service or an open space. To the extent allowed by applicable law, Urban Properties Houston LLC is not responsible for loss caused by third parties or events outside its reasonable control. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the parking in question, except where the law forbids that limit. These terms do not waive rights that cannot legally be waived.
Disputes, law and changes
If a charge, coverage record or enforcement action appears wrong, first email park@thehoustondistrict.com with the receipt code, lot and date; do not send a full card number. We may share the purchase and receipt records with the card issuer, processor and network to answer a payment dispute. If support does not resolve the dispute, bring it in the state or county courts in Harris County, Texas. Texas law governs these terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
We post changes to these terms on the website and in the app, and email account holders about material changes. Changes take effect when posted unless we state otherwise. A change does not alter a coverage window or price already confirmed in a completed purchase.
Contact
Email park@thehoustondistrict.com for parking support. Support is by email only; there is no support phone number. This same address is the parking contact on the website, in the app and on receipts.
