Your privacy rights

Ask to see, correct, or delete your personal information, record a sale or sharing opt-out, or appeal a decision about a privacy request.

Download an access response

Once staff has reviewed and verified your access request, enter its request number and email address. We will send a fresh code before each JSON or PDF download.

We verify the email address before accepting an unauthenticated request. Access, correction, deletion, and appeals may need another identity check before we disclose or change information.

We respond to access, correction, deletion, and appeal requests within 45 calendar days of receipt. If an extension is allowed and needed, we will notify you of the reason within the first 45 days. We process opt-outs as soon as required by applicable law.

An access response is available as machine-readable JSON and a readable PDF. We redact information about staff or other people. Plate-linked enforcement information needs a staff ownership check; photos, forms, and correspondence may require separate review before disclosure.

Deleting an account removes or deidentifies information we no longer need. Payment, receipt, refund, accounting, and boot records remain when legal, accounting, dispute, or enforcement duties require them. Houston requires digital payment records for at least one year and certain boot records for at least three years. Some retained records have no automatic deletion date; we explain what is kept and why.

We do not sell personal information. You can still record a sale or sharing opt-out preference.
